Tandoori Chicken is the dish that inspired our restaurant's name and it's at the very heart of what we do at Tandoori Tadka in Lloydminster. Our recipe follows the time-honoured tradition of marinating chicken in thick yogurt mixed with ginger-garlic paste, Kashmiri red chilli, turmeric, garam masala, and lemon juice. The chicken marinates overnight, allowing the spices to penetrate deep into the meat for maximum flavour.
The magic happens in our traditional clay tandoor oven, which reaches temperatures over 900°F. The intense heat sears the outside of the chicken, creating a beautiful charred exterior while keeping the inside incredibly juicy and tender. The smoky aroma from the tandoor adds a distinctive flavour that simply cannot be replicated with conventional cooking methods. Served with mint chutney and onion rings, our Tandoori Chicken at our Lloydminster location is a celebration of the ancient art of tandoor cooking.
